Mishawaka-Anne K. Kopsea, 86, passed away at 10:40 a.m., at home on Friday, January 7, of natural causes.
Anne was born on June 26, 1924 in South Bend to the late Matthew and Lidvina 'Lena' (Kuzmich) Ribarich. On July 3, 1948 in South Bend as the former Anne K. Ribarich she married Charles 'Chil' Kopsea; he preceded her in death on May 25, 2002. Surviving are two sons, Michael C. (Jeanette) Kopsea of Osceola and Matthew J. Kopsea of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Charles (Julie) Kopsea of Oak Creek, WI, Amy Kopsea of Grand Prairie, TX, Richard Kopsea and Anthony Kopsea of Osceola; two great grandchildren, Zachary and Nathan Kopsea of Oak Creed, WI and a sister, Agnes Ribarich of South Bend.
Anne was a Riley High School Graduate; a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, DeAmicis Ladies Auxiliary and Mishawaka Women's Democratic Club.
Visitation is on Monday, January 10 from 2 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 5 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 11 in St. Bavo Catholic Church with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Bavo Catholic Church, 511 W. 7th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544 or to Diabetes Association of St. Joseph County United Health Services, 6910 S. Main Street, Granger, IN 46530.

I just gave your mom a hug and kiss Christmas eve after mass. I will miss her so much. What a sweet lady. I have so many wonderful memories of her when we were kids playing Elvis records and looking and Monster Magazine. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
It is never easy to lose a parent. But all the good memories and the support of family and friends will help you through this difficult time.
