Terry M. Cave

Terry Monroe Cave, 85 of Mishawaka, IN passed away the morning of Saturday March 16, 2024, surrounded by his wife and children.  He was born on July 9, 1938, in Wabash County to the late Cora Pauline (Wentland) Cave.  On March 21, 1959, Terry married his high school sweetheart, Leona Weaver.  Terry and Leona were married for 65 wonderful years.
            He was a man who knew the value of hard work from an early age. He retired from Mishawaka Utilities after 43 years as a lineman and worked part time for 27 years at Sears Auto Shop as a mechanic. His hands bore the calluses of his labor and his work ethic was an inspiration to all who knew him.
            A simple man who lived an extraordinary life. He was a proud man who was dedicated to his wife and children beyond measure. You could always find him helping a friend or neighbor or at one of the kids houses fixing something. He was a man of few words but profound actions.
            Terry is survived by his wife Leona Cave, as well as their children Rick (Kim) Cave, Cindy (Mark) Ward, Tammy (Jim) Budzinski, Chad (Angie) Cave; grandchildren Brooke (Joe) Brown, Brittney Cave, Braxston (Natalie) Cave, Ashley (Justin) Overholser, Aubrie Ward, Alicia Ward, Justin (Emily) Budzinski, Katy (Jamie) Lukaszewski ; 16 great grandchildren with one on the way ; sisters Barb Cave, Colleen Cave, Freida Soto; brother Bill Cave; and brother-in-law Terry Weaver. 
            Terry is preceded in death by his mother Cora Pauline Cave, sisters Kathleen Cave, Maralee (Cave) Mauk, Doris (Cave) Bueche; brothers Roger, Jerry and Rex Cave,his father-in-law Walter "Cy" Weaver, mother-in-law Mary Weaver, brother-in-law Darrol Ruch; and sister-in-law Phyllis Weaver.
            We love you and miss you. 
            Visitation will be on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM in Hahn Funeral Home 505 W. 8th Street Mishawaka.  Services will be held on Friday March 22, 2024, at 11:00 AM in Hahn Funeral Home. Burial to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
