Joseph VanDyke Obituary

 

Joseph C. VanDyke of Mishawaka passed away at home on December 2, 2019. He was born on August 5, 1930 to Peter and Maria (Geysel) VanDyke in Mishawaka, IN. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Justine Federnock and brother-in-law, Jim Federnock.

 

Joseph is survived by the love of his life, Linda Meyer; children, Barb (Leslie) Frank, Mary (Ken) Watkins, Kristin Lane and Rebecca Creal; seven grandchildren, Aisha, Izahbella, Lee, Mark, David, Devon and Alex and two great-grandchildren, James and Alex.

 

Joseph worked as a bread maker for the Westend Bakery for many years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 and was a member of the American Legion #161. Joseph will be remembered as a wonderful father and grandfather.

 

Per Joseph’s wishes there will be no services. A private burial will be held at a later date. Hahn Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
