Karen Lynn Corwin

January 7, 1942- January 11, 2019

          Mishawaka-Karen Lynn Corwin, 77, went to be with the Lord and reunited with her husband, on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

          Karen was born on January 7, 1942, in Chicago, IL to the late Lester and Naomi “Peg” (Propes) Johnson.

          On April 16, 1966, Karen married her true love, Thomas Corwin, in the First Christian Church in South Bend; he preceded her in death on October 29, 2017.
          Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Kristin Corwin of Joshua, TX and Susan (Toby) Corwin-Cripe of Wakarusa; grandchildren, Travis Cripe of Wakarusa, Naomi Cripe of Wakarusa and Mitchell Gring of Joshua, TX; a great grandchild, LillyAn Gring and many nieces and nephews.

          Karen was an avid Notre Dame Women’s Basketball fan. Karen loved her sorority sisters and looked forward to her monthly Girl’s night out.

          Visitation for Karen will be held on Tuesday, January 15 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. with a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. at Wakarusa United Methodist Church, 309 S Elkhart St, Wakarusa, IN 46573.
