Robert L. Sager

South Bend- Robert L. Sager, 89, passed away on Saturday, September 22, in Hospice House, South Bend.
Bob was born on November 14, 1922 in Maumee, Ohio as the son of the late Clarence and Georgia (Plouck) Sager. On March 29, 1958, Robert married the former Ruth Borck.
Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years Ruth Sager; two daughters, Barbara Kmitta of South Bend and Susan Willmont of Reading, Michigan; six Grandchildren, Lisa Smith, Michael Willmont, Kurt Willmont, Jennifer Hill, Tracey Hack, Robert Kmitta; five great grandchildren, Grace Kmitta, Coleton Hack, Chase Willmont, Trey Willmont and George Willmont; one brother, Richard Sager and one sister, Lois Kilchenman.
Bob was a Pharmaceutical Rep for over 40 years as well as a store designer for South Bend Drug Company before his retirement. He was a wonderful friend to many. Next to the love for his family was the love of his country. He proudly fought for our country in World War II and he would never lose his patriotism.
He was the most courageous man'¦who will be deeply missed, but in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. with funeral service as 6 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka with Rev. Bob Vale officiating. A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 27 at 11:30 a.m. in Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI with Military Honor's.
