Osceola-Susan Ann Denman, 71 passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.

Susan was born on January 8, 1947 in Mishawaka to Carol Joseph and Elizabeth (Van Vooren) Witz. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Susan is survived by her Mishawaka High School sweet heart, former husband and friend, Jim Wood of Lakeland, FL. She was also married to Denny Lee Denman from June 22, 1990 until his death on December 18, 2011. Also surviving are her children, Dave (Jaimi Lentine-Wood) Wood of Mishawaka, Kim Wood-Blank of Elkhart and Jim (Gina) Wood of Osceola; grandchildren, Haley Wood, Joseph Wood, Abigale Wood and James Wood, Kyle (Gracie) Blank, Kelly Blank, Nathan Wood and Cameron Wood and a great grandchild, Lane Blank.           Susan began her professional career as a bank teller for First National Bank of Mishawaka.  She worked there until she had her first born when she stayed home to raise her family. She eventually went back to work at School City of Mishawka in food services for 18 years, a career that allowed her to stay home and raise her kids, which was important to her.  She then went to work in Human Resources at Indiana Toll Road and retired as coordinator of Human Resources after 15 years. Following her retirement from the State of Indiana, she went back to the bank, which became 1st Source Bank, as a Teller then retired from personal banking. Following her “retirement” from three separate careers, she followed her passion of antiquing. She worked estate sales and had a booth at Mishawaka Antiques. She also loved traveling and was working on, checking off boxes from her extensive bucket list. Most of all she was very proud of her kids and grandkids. Susan loved caring for her family and those she loved.
