Amado Sterry, 56, of Mishawaka passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, after battling with several extended illnesses. Amado was born to the late Pavlova (Wagstaff) Sterry. He grew up in the Michiana area and graduated from Mishawaka High School. Amado went on to work for Velmont and SAPA
He is survived by his children, Holly Sterry, Eric (Abby) Sterry, and Aaron (Savannah) Sterry; several grandchildren; siblings, Peter (Sophia) Anderson, Phil Sterry, and Pavlova "Rosie" (Dan Ward) Sterry; many nieces, nephews and extended family members as well as his lifelong friend, Danine. Amado was preceded in death by his son, Amado Sterry, and his mother
A man of diverse hobbies, Amado was an avid video gamer, a collector of movies—both critically acclaimed and those delightfully considered 'so bad they're good'—and an animal lover who had a special place in his heart for pug dogs.
Per Amado’s wishes there will be no formal services at this time. Memorial contributions in Amado’s honor may be donated to Pet Refuge, 4626 S Burnett Dr, South Bend, IN 46614 or to AseraCare Hospice, 700 E. Beardsley Ave. Ste. 2b, Elkhart, IN 46514.
