Angela Trippel

     Angela Trippel, 92 a lifelong Mishawaka resident passed away peacefully on Monday December 16, 2024, surrounded by her family.

     Angela was born on December 29, 1931, in Cantalupo, Ligure, Italy, as the daughter of the late Giuseppe Sobrero and Rosa (Bruno) Sobrero. On June 26, 1954, in St. Bavo Catholic Church Mishawaka as Angela Sobrero she married James " Jim" Trippel, He preceded her in death on July 31, 2013, after fifty-nine years of marriage. 

     Angela worked with her husband Jim in the family business, Vic Trippel Plumbing and Heating along with raising their six children, she was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Mishawaka.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was known for her outstanding cooking of old Italian Recipes. She was kind and generous to anyone she met and made everyone feel like family. Angela was also a diehard Chicago Cubs’ fan.  

     Angela is survived by her children Ron Trippel, Chuck (Kelly) Trippel, Terry Trippel, Pat (Maricor) Trippel, Mike (Laura) Trippel, Kathy (Tony) Cochrane; thirteen grandchildren Erin, Tom, Alex, Caroline, Timothy, Christopher, Kailey, Courtney, Cameron, Rosa, Evan, Ellen and Michael. Great grandchild, Alaina. She will also be fondly remembered and missed by her long-term caregiver, Marivic Padolina. The family would like to thank Marivic for her wonderful care of Angela.

     Angela was preceded in death by her parents Giuseppe and Rosa, her husband James, as well as her siblings, Louis Siri, George Siri, Bill Siri, and Julius Siri.

     Visitation will be held on Saturday December 21, from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM, in Hahn Funeral Home 505 W. 8th Street Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am In St. Joseph Catholic Church 225 S. Mill Street Mishawaka, with Rev Christopher Lapp Officiating and Rev. Barry England assisting. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Mishawaka.
