Mishawaka-Anne K. Kopsea, 86, passed away at 10:40 a.m., at home on Friday, January 7, of natural causes.
Anne was born on June 26, 1924 in South Bend to the late Matthew and Lidvina 'Lena' (Kuzmich) Ribarich. On July 3, 1948 in South Bend as the former Anne K. Ribarich she married Charles 'Chil' Kopsea; he preceded her in death on May 25, 2002. Surviving are two sons, Michael C. (Jeanette) Kopsea of Osceola and Matthew J. Kopsea of Mishawaka; four grandchildren, Charles (Julie) Kopsea of Oak Creek, WI, Amy Kopsea of Grand Prairie, TX, Richard Kopsea and Anthony Kopsea of Osceola; two great grandchildren, Zachary and Nathan Kopsea of Oak Creed, WI and a sister, Agnes Ribarich of South Bend.
Anne was a Riley High School Graduate; a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, DeAmicis Ladies Auxiliary and Mishawaka Women's Democratic Club.
Visitation is on Monday, January 10 from 2 to 7 p.m. with a Rosary at 5 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 11 in St. Bavo Catholic Church with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
