Arlene Lawson

   Arlene J. Lawson, age 86, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at her home, surrounded by loved ones.

   She was born on July 11, 1939, in South Bend, Indiana, to Albert J. and Ruth Turczynski. Arlene spent many years working as part of a cleaning service at the South Bend Municipal Airport, a job she took pride in until declining vision forced her to retire in 1997.

   Arlene was preceded in death by her children, Theresa Williams and Ronald E. Lawson; her grandchildren, Gary ; and her parents.

   She is survived by her beloved granddaughter, Jamie Melendez and Angela,  as well as several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and many extended family members, who will forever cherish her memory.

   Arlene will be remembered for her dedication to family.

   A visitation for Arlene will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th. Street, Mishawaka. A Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM in the funeral home. A private burial will take place in New Carlisle Cemetery.
