Barbara (Doolittle) Powell

Barbara Powell, 80, of Mishawaka passed away on January 18, 2025. Barbara was born on March 12, 1944, in Mishawaka to the late George and Edna Benjamin, but was raised by the late Florence (Fogus) Doolittle who accepted Barbara as her own. Barbara married Gary Powell on February 11, 1999, in Mishawaka.

Barbara is survived by her siblings, Boyd Doolittle, Mary (Don) Radabaugh and George Doolittle; sisters-in-law, Nancy Doolittle and June Doolittle and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death but her husband, Gary Powell; her parents, George and Florence Doolittle, Edna Benjamin and her siblings, Amos Doolittle, Roland Doolittle, and Carol Reige.

Barbara enjoyed Lilo and Stitch but absolutely loved all things Stitch related. She liked to play bingo and was always excited to go out for lunch and going shopping. Barbara also enjoyed spending time with her friends, especially going for walks with Bill. She was an avid country music fan and liked to tune into country music stations. More than anything Barbara loved her family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd, from 4-6PM at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation in the funeral home at 6PM. A private burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
