Barbara Smith

 Barbara Smith, age 81, passed away on December 25, 2025, at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on November 8, 1944, to Francis Leo & Virginia E Schaeffer

Barbara was married to Dennis Smith. They married on June 1st 1995, and spent 30 years together. Together they had no children but they blended their families and with that, had 6 children. 

Barbara is survived by her husband, Dennis Smith; her daughter Nancy, her stepchildren Dennis Smith Jr and Shonda Lintemuth. As well as her grandchildren, Cheyenne, Jeffery, James, Cherokee, Lisa, Sean, Shelby, Kayce,and Rian. Including her nine great grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina, her daughter Ronna, and her son Robert. 

Barbara enjoyed collecting glass swans and other knickknacks, but the swans were always her favorite. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, creating memories that will be deeply treasured by those who loved her.

In keeping with Barbara's wishes there is no services scheduled at this time. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements and extends their deepest sympathies to the Smith family.
