Benjamin Thomas Hubbard
September 12, 1976-July 21, 2013
South Bend-Benjamin Thomas Hubbard, 36, passed away on Sunday, July 21 doing what he loved to do, flying his plane.
Benjamin was born on September 12, 1976 in Mishawaka to Thomas Hubbard Sr. and Suzanne (Doll) Hubbard.
Surviving are his mother, Suzanne (Terry) Harlin of Mishawaka; his father, Thomas (Brenda) Hubbard Sr. of Carol Stream, IL; daughter, Carli Hubbard of South Bend; and his brother, Thomas Lee (Stephanie) Hubbard Jr. of Carol Stream, IL and his nephews Thomas and Donald. Also surviving are his fiancée, Melissa Grover of South Bend and his best friends, Chris Loftus and Micah Rulli.
Ben was a 1994 Mishawaka High School graduate. He was a general contractor and the owner of 3 Points LLC. He was known as a Master Craftsman because he could build or fix anything with his hands. He always lived life to the fullest each and every day. Ben loved flying; it was such a thrill and had a great sense of freedom. Ben was an avid rock climber, diver, motorcyclist and snowboarder. He loved all the beautiful places he visited in nature, whether diving in the Caribbean or hiking the Grand Canyon. He was a caring and strong individual who was hard working and not afraid of taking on new challenges or adventures; fulfilling all of his 'Bucket List' items.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Vito Rulli officiating.
