Betty R. Wallace Ellinger, born April 27, 1928, in Bremen, Indiana, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2025, in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Betty's life was a testament to her resilience and capacity for love. She was a beacon of light and strength within her family. Daughter to the late Ely Jacob Lingofelter and Stella Ringle Lingofelter, she walked through life with grace and determination.
United in marriage to Robert Wallace on October 14, 1947, they shared a life full of fond memories until his passing in 1989. Betty found love again and married Herbert Ellinger on August 3, 1993, who preceded her in death in 1999. Betty was also preceded in death by her twin sister Betty Jane (Bob) Strickland.
Betty leaves behind a legacy through her loving children, Robert (Connie) Wallace and the late Thomas Wallace. Her lineage flourishes through her grandchildren, Melissa J. Wallace, Richard A. Wallace, and Timothy R. Wallace, as well as her 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter, who will cherish her memory.
Betty was an eastern star as well as a member of the auxiliary American legion and was an alumni at Uniroyal.
Betty will be dearly missed and forever remembered as a nurturing mother, sister, and friend whose warmth touched all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Sunday February 9, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka, with a Service to follow in the Home.
