Brenda Balmer

Brenda Balmer, 59, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away on Friday, July 9, 2021. Brenda was born to the late Ralph and Phyllis (Fryar) Hensel on June 12, 1962, in Mishawaka. Brenda was blessed with many siblings and she will be dearly missed by Janice (Kim) Nettrour, Rose Thomas, Wayne Hensel, and Paula Hensel. Brenda is now with her beloved, late brother, Ralph “Bud” Hensel, whom she missed daily.

Brenda remained in Mishawaka her entire life. She attended Mishawaka High School and would've graduated Class of 1980. Brenda’s hobbies included tending to her house plants, crafting, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. She was always thoughtful of others and remembered important dates such as birthdays and anniversaries. Brenda worked at various local restaurants in the area during her adult life and made many friends during those years. We know they have her in their hearts and will surely miss their dear friend.

Brenda is survived by her son, David (Courtney) Hensel; and her step-daughters, Hailey and Samantha Balmer. Though they may be apart now, the love they shared will never be broken.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 21, 2021, from 12:00-4:00 pm at South Bend Elks Lodge #235, 3535 W. McKinley Avenue South Bend, IN 46615. Food and refreshments will be provided.
