Brenda K. Kindig, age 68, passed away on December 20, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Brenda was born on February 3, 1957, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Arthur and Marjorie Czosnowski. On August 14, 1982, she married Carl Kindig. Their 43 years of marriage were a testament to enduring love and partnership, as together they raised their two children, Kallie and Christopher.
When she was young, Brenda worked at Prickett’s Supermarket, where she met her future husband, Carl. In later years, she went on to work as a teacher’s aide at Beiger Elementary School, a job she absolutely loved.
She is survived by her husband Carl Kindig; her children, Kallie Kindig and Christopher (Kristin) Kindig; her grandchildren, Amyah Kindig and Boston Seabury; her siblings, Lynn Hill, Cindy (Mark) Kappes, and Quinn (Roberta) Czosnowski; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Brenda loved cooking and baking for her family and friends and found great joy in bringing people together with her food. She enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Disney, Myrtle Beach, and most recently Gatlinburg, Tennessee with Carl. Many of her trips were shared with dear friends from the Mustang Club, of which she had been a member for 37 years. Brenda also loved spending time outdoors, tending to her yard and garden. She was a devoted pet lover and especially adored dogs.
Donations can be made in Brenda’s memory to the Center for Hospice.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, from 2:00PM- 4:00 PM, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 w 8th street, Mishawaka. Funeral service will take place the next day, Monday, December 29, 2025, at 12:00PM, with visitation one hour prior in Hahn Funeral Home. Burial to follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
