Caleb Tekker Obituary

           Caleb Judah Thomas Tekker, known affectionately as Caleb, left this world far too soon at the age of 20, following an automobile accident on December 26, 2024. Born on January 19, 2004, in South Bend, IN, Caleb grew to be a person of character, radiating love, kindness, and thoughtfulness with those he crossed paths with.

            Caleb spent his formative years in Mishawaka, where his early days were filled with laughter and the warmth of a close-knit family. He was the cherished son of his father, Thomas Bruce Tekker, Jr., and wife Jami, and his mother, Malena (Segers) Finn. Caleb was a beloved brother to his stepbrothers, Zach Loveland and Josh Loveland, and grandson to his grandmother, Caroline Segers. Caleb was proceeded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Wanda Tekker, Connie and Judy Shreve, Jimmy Segers and his aunt, Pam Segers.

            His extended family was a significant part of his life, with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who will fondly remember his loving spirit. His aunts and uncles, Drinda (Bill) Schlundt, Jody Torma, Michele Orban, Rachele Benn, Denise (Chris) Donahue, Mike (Geni) Dial, Jeff (Lisa) Dial, and Renee (Ron) McCall, along with his cousins Michael Segers, Kassandra Kerrn, Brandon Bokhart, Alyshia Bokhart-Fraling, Aaron Hamman, Olivia Smith, Cameron Cavinder, Jared Atkins, Katlyn Lail, Cody Shreve, Scott Shreve, Alexis Cashier, and a host of additional cousins, will forever cherish the memories of Caleb. Caleb held a special bond with his cousins, Trey Kerrn, Johnnie Gipson, Malachi Kerrn, and his friend Gio Mammolenti.
 
            Caleb’s professional journey was marked by his tenure at Junk King, where he was not only an employee but also a member of a team that valued his contributions and admired his work ethic. His dedication to his job and the people he worked with was evident, as he always strived to ensure that his presence added value to his workplace.

            Known for his loving nature, Caleb had an innate ability to make those around him feel valued and cared for. His kind gestures and thoughtful words were a testament to the depth of his character. Friends and family alike will remember Caleb as someone who could light up a room with his smile and uplift spirits with his unwavering positivity.

            Caleb's untimely departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but the legacy of his kindness and the memories of his compassionate nature will continue to inspire all who had the fortune of crossing paths with him. His life, though brief, was a vivid tapestry of meaningful relationships that will be fondly remembered and deeply missed. His was a life that will continue to resonate with all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Caleb's memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were touched by his caring spirit.

            Caleb's family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. A ceremony will be held to celebrate and honor Caleb's life that, while too short, was lived to the fullest. Caleb was loved deeply and will be greatly missed.

            A visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka. Services will take place immediately following at 1:00 PM in the Funeral Home, officiated by his father, Thomas B. Tekker Jr. The burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.

            In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to Hahn Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses.
