Chloe Marie Scott 21, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022, at St Joseph Hospital in Mishawaka, IN surrounded by her family. Chloe was born in Mishawaka on June 12, 2000, to Charles Scott and Tiffany Burkart. Chloe graduated from Penn High School and attended Schmucker Middle School. She enjoyed her time at First Steps and St. Joseph Pediatrics Therapy. She loved attending Starz Academy with her friends as well as her friends at Battell, Grissom and Penn. She also loved all her caring aides and bus drivers throughout her time in school.
Chloe could not do all the things a regular child could do because of her severe Cerebral Palsy, yet she was the sunshine of her family. The first-born, beloved child of her mother and caregiver Tiffany, Chloe was also the apple of her grandpa Jon’s eye and the beat of her grandma Becky’s heart. They cared for Chloe throughout her life with her mother and father, Jeromy and in return, they received her ever-enduring love. She enjoyed listening to music with her grandpa and watching her favorite movies such as Toy Story with her grandma, along with summer walks with her family. Chloe’s beautiful smile and the sound of her laugh was the most treasured gift of all. Her family was truly blessed with her enduring positivity and presence and will remain eternally indebted to Chloe for fighting through the challenges for as long as she did. She taught everyone in her life patience, humility, strength and unconditional love. Her beauty was too bright for this world so heaven had to call her home early.
Chloe is survived by her parents, Jeromy Kendall and Tiffany Burkart; father, Charles Scott; siblings, Peyton, Sophia and Micah Kendall; grandparents, Jon (Rebecca) Burkart, Joe (Andrea) Buda, and Jerome (Sherrill) Kendall; uncles, John Burkart, and Aron Martinez; aunts, Jessica Burkart, Heather Berta, and Brandy Kendall; great uncle, Brian Burkart; great aunts, Cynthia Reed and Judith Kinzie; cousins, Gabriel, Jonah and Adrian Martinez, and Sierra, Jonathan and Ambria Ciesielski. Chloe was preceded in death by her great-grandparents John and Lucille (GG) Burkart.
