Courtney Leigh Dye, 43, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away on June 8, 2020. She was born to Dennis and Candace (Alpers) Rupple on April 28, 1977, in Berrien General Hospital, MI. Courtney grew up in Berrien Springs and graduated from Berrien Springs High School. She went on to become a registered nurse and dedicated her life to helping people of all ages, from the NICU to Hospice.
Courtney is survived by her children, Nebraska “Quinn” (Sarah) Draughter IV and Danae Draughter; her parents, Dennis (Candace) Rupple; siblings, Anneliese (Allen) Barz and David Rupple (Tasha Hillman); nieces and nephews, William, Harrison, Lucas, Natalie, Alyssa, and Taya; bonus children, Lisa Fry and Elijah Wicker as well as many extended family members and friends.
Courtney loved the water and all the marine life that lived within it, she had a “mermaid’s soul.” If music was playing she could be found dancing. She enjoyed reading mystery novels and watching scary movies with her family. Courtney had a deep faith in Jesus Christ that gave her strength and hope.
A Celebration of Life for Courtney will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St. in Mishawaka at 3 PM. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. Due to current public health and safety standards for COVID-19 social distancing will be enforced and masks required.
