Craig W. McPike, 67, of Mishawaka, passed away on August 2, 2021. Craig was born to the late Carl and Adeline McPike in South Bend, IN, on December 21, 1953. He proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Forrestal (CV-59) as a Corpsman Lab tech (HM2). Craig worked in car sales and for Honeywell as a machinist before retiring. He enjoyed spending time at one of his favorite hangouts, the Pirate’s Cove, in Mishawaka. He liked to spend time checking out old cars, especially Corvettes, and watching the Indy500. Craig was a history buff, who left the History Channel on all the time unless he was in the mood for M*A*S*H. He could always be counted on to bring Sunday afternoon ice cream to his grandchildren and was planning a fishing trip for them this year.
Craig is survived by his children, Sean and Kaitlin McPike as well as his grandchildren, Lily, Mila and Kelsey. He was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Banasiak.
Visitation with the family will be held on August 5, 2021, from 10am-12pm in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 12pm. Military honors will take place at the graveside service in Fairview cemetery after the service.
