Cynthia DeNeve Obituary

Cindy E. DeNeve, 71, of Mishawaka passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at the Center for Hospice Care in Mishawaka after a 6-month battle with cancer. Cindy was born on October 26, 1952, in South Bend, IN to Thomas and Evleyn (Wroblewski) Bella. They preceded her death along with two stepbrothers, Ronald Nowicki Sr. and Daniel Nowicki Sr and a niece, Wendy Nowicki.

On November 20, 1982, Cindy married Richard “Rich” DeNeve who survives along with two stepsons, Douglas DeNeve of FL and Todd (Amy) DeNeve of Indianapolis; granddaughter, Paige DeNeve; a brother, Don (Kathy) Bella; step brother, Jerry (Pam) Bella; step sisters-in-law, Kathleen and Becky Nowicki; sisters-in-law, Mary E VanDenDriessche and Carol Borowski; nieces, Rachle (Tony) Chelminiak, Andrea (Danny) Conroy, and Laura Brugh; nephews, Ronald (Sue) Nowicki Jr., Daniel (Sarah) Nowicki Jr., Todd (Shannon) Bella and many great nieces and nephews.

Cindy worked in the St. Joseph County Clerks office in Mishawaka, IN and became the Sherman Township Clerk in St. Joseph, MI where she spent 20 years after her and Rich moved to the lake which they truly loved.

Cindy’s favorite pastime was bird watching, gardening, fishing in the good weather seasons then baking and cooking when it got cold. After 26 years at the lake, they moved back to Mishawaka where she spent her free time working at the BK Club.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at the Center for Hospice Care in Mishawaka for the excellent care they provided to Cindy during her final days.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at BK Club at a later date. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the final arrangements.
