Dale Long Obituary

Dale A. Long, 61, of Mishawaka passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2022. Dale was born in South Bend on October 12, 1960, to Donald and Linda (Keip) Long. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Long. Dale is survived by his mother, Linda; fiancé, Jeanie Burns; children, Shannon Line, Chemain Morningstar, Aaron Long, Dale Long, and Daniel Burns; siblings, Mike (Kimberly) Long, Tammy (Michael) Hollowman and Penny (Wally) Marczenko.

Dale was so full of life and the life of the party. He loved music and singing. He loved Elvis Presley and Neil Diamond! In his younger days he was one of the original performers to do Elvis! He performed for years and loved every minute of it. He loved performing his idols. He had a big following and made many friends along the way. Now he is the Grandfather!  He also was the artist for Neil Diamond too! He was very musically inclined. He could sing and he was a drummer in his own band called Blue Suede. His band was very popular in the 80s. He was at the Saint Joseph County 4H fair performing Neil Diamond. That is where he met his beautiful fiancé, Jeanie Burns the love of his life. He loved her so much. They both performed together singing. Performing and music was always his passion. He loved doing karaoke and playing at weddings and parties. He had his own karaoke business called Diamond Entertainment. There was never a dull moment with him. He would go above and beyond for people to make them happy. Dale loved people and the people loved him. He never knew a stranger. He had a heart of gold. He would go out of his way for anyone. He loved his children and grandchildren so much! He always loved to make them laugh and laugh they did. He was a wonderful father and grandfather as well. He loved all his family and every person was special to him. He loved his parents very much. He was a big kid at heart and a mama’s boy as well. He would call his mom and talk to her for hours on the phone. He loved her so much and always worried about her. He thought the world of his dad. He loved to sit and laugh with him but mostly he loved talking to him. He loved his brother, Michael and at some of his shows he would dedicate and sing the song for him,  He ain’t heavy he’s my brother. He loved talking and teasing his sister, Tammy. He was so proud of her of what she has accomplished in her life. Dale also loved being around his other sister, Penny. He would call her and pretend he was her great Uncle Arnold, who has been gone for years. He loved making her laugh and was always there for her. He loved and adored his fur babies, Shadow and Lucky. Animal lover at heart. He also loved playing cards with Dennis and visiting with him. Dale loved the Lord and knew the Bible so well. He was loved by many people and be missed so very much. Dale is at home and at peace.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with handling the final arrangements.
