Danny L. Hylman

Danny L. Hylman, 66, of Mishawaka passed away on March 12, 2023.  Danny was born in South Bend, IN on July 18, 1956, to the late Philip Hylman Jr. and Neva Ellen (Kinney) Daus.  He is survived by his sister, Lori (David) Williams; nieces, Alexis, Katelyn, Arrabella, Autumn and Amaya; uncles, Nelson Kinney, Jack Kinney, Fred (Jean) Kinney and Jimmy (Sharry) Kinney; aunts, Doris (Larry) Berger and Jean (John) Haite; and his favorite cousin, Cindy Sikora and her children Bryanna “Jerzee” Sikora and Shawn (Maria) Sikora and Shawn’s daughter, Lia as well as numerous other cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Larry Daus; brother, James Hylman; aunt, Dorothy Kinney; and uncle, Jerry Kinney.

Danny worked for the former Orvis - Palmer Funeral Home, then Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, and Former Life Ambulance Company in South Bend. Danny worked in sales for National Wine and Spirts in South Bend after retirement he would assist at Hahn Funeral Home.

Danny never met a stranger, once he met someone you became a friend. He had a heart of gold and a passion for people, and a strong conviction in his beliefs. Whether you had the same opinion or different, Danny was your friend for life and would do anything for you. Danny’s family and friends would like to extend a special thank you to his friend and neighbor, Bonnie Hauser for all that she assisted Danny with. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 21st, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN.  Funeral Service will be 5:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Bob Vale officiating.  Danny will be laid to rest privately in Porter Rae Cemetery in North Liberty.
