Dante James Vandenberg

     Dante James Vandenberg, a cherished and beloved son, brother, and grandson, was born into the arms of angels on July 16, 2025, in South Bend, IN, at Memorial Hospital. Dante, who was lovingly anticipated by his parents, Patrick and Mersades Vandenberg, entered this world as a beautiful soul who, though he never took a breath, was deeply loved and touched the hearts of all who awaited his arrival.

     Despite the brevity of his time on earth, Dante's impact on his family was profound. He was the treasured younger brother to Savannah and Kaylynn, who will carry the memory of their brother with fondness. Dante's maternal grandparents, Shelly Horg and Andrew Dell, paternal grandparents, Jamie Fowler and Erwin Vandenberg, along with a host of extended family members, felt his light within their lives, even if only for a moment. As the Vandenberg family says goodbye to Dante, they do so with heavy hearts but also with a profound sense of gratitude for the time they were given with him.

     A Memorial Service for Dante will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, at 12pm in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements and extends their deepest sympathies to the Vandenberg family.
