David S. Ball

David S. Ball passed away unexpectedly on Monday August 7, 2023. He was born March 24, 1962, to Richard and Joan Ball in South Bend, IN. He is survived by his daughter, Lindsey (Levi) Andrews of Columbia, TN; mother, Joan Ball of Bristol, IN; siblings, Gilbert (Barbara) Ball of Granger, IN, Leslie (Ron) Newcomb of Bonita Springs, FL, Susan Ball (Thomas Farr) of Elkhart, IN and Kristin Cabanaw of Mishawaka, IN. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Mason, Paige and Reese Andrews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Ball and sister, Sherry Elaine Ball. 

David was a 1980 alumnus of Riley High School and a dedicated honorable union insulator for Local 75 South Bend for 36 years until his retirement in 2017. He was an amazing friend to everyone he met, always extending a hand of kindness while living his life believing that people were innately good and because of that he was loved by all who knew him. A reflection of that kindness was his great love for all animals.

From an early age David had a passion for anything with a motor including snowmobiles, motorcycles and cars. He owned many throughout his life and enjoyed all of them.

David lived a full life, but his passing has left a void in all of our lives. He was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure. 

The family will receive friends from 5 pm-9 pm Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka, IN. The funeral service will be at 10 am on Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Interment will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Granger, IN.
