Devon Eugene Biesbrook passed away on Monday, November 6, 2023, in Mishawaka, IN at the age of 88. The son of John Biesbrook and Mildred (Biesbrook) Contat. He was born on August 21, 1935, in Mishawaka, IN. He graduated from Madison Township High School in 1954. Devon was of Catholic faith and has resided in Mishawaka his entire life.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1956, during peace time while being stationed for a stent in Bad Kreuznach, Germany where he met his beloved wife-Erna (Boller) Biesbrook. In January-1955, he completed a 10-week course at The Army Ordnance Automotive School focusing on Engine Rebuilds. He worked in the RV industry for over 30 years as a Purchasing Agent before retiring to focus on his hobbies.
Devon’s hobbies revolved around his strong passion for fishing, hunting, archery, and wood working. Nothing made him happier than spending time on the water chasing his famous “fishing holes”. He was a member of the BK Club while overseeing the archery program for years.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. Devon is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Erna (Boller) Biesbrook, of Mishawaka-IN, Dale Contat of Florida, 1/2 Sister-Peggy Hess of Mishawaka-IN, 1/2 Sister-Rose (Gene) Dixon of Osceola-IN, Son-Raymond Biesbrook of Mishawaka-IN, Daughter-Elenore Biesbrook of Logansport-IN, Daughter-Bridget (Steve) Johnson of Syracuse-IN/Auburndale-FL, Daughter-Coral (Bob) Davis of Redfield, AR. Also surviving are seven grandchildren Shawn (Carrie) Johnson, Ryan (Jordan) Johnson, Joshua (Jessica) Davis, Coral Breann Davis, Raymond Jr. (Annie) Biesbrook, and Tia (Biesbrook) Glick. His great-grandchildren are Callie, Brooke, Connor, Madison, Katerina Nutter, Taylor, Erin, Robert, Colton, Mckinzie, Jaydian, Marie, and Sarah. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1/2 brothers-David & Larry.

Viewing will be from 2-6 PM at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W Eighth St., Mishawaka, IN 46544, on Thursday, November 9, 2023. A celebration of life service will follow.
