Donald "Pete" Melton

Donald "Pete" Melton, 68, of Phoenix, Arizona went home to be with the Lord at 12:15 pm Sunday, December 19, 2021. Pete was born in Mishawaka, IN, the eldest son to Clyde Kenneth Melton and Joan Louise (Martsolf) Melton on February 13, 1953. His father has preceded him in death.  Pete went on to marry Rachel (Chavez) Melton of South Bend, IN in 1970. They moved to Phoenix, Arizona in the 90's to work with his uncle, Bob Mortsolf as a Glass Worker. He then stayed in Arizona for 30 years until his passing.

He was an avid coin collector. He loved visiting Alabama, listening to music, whiskey and his Brown Sugar, Rachel his wife of 51 years.

He is survived and will be missed by his loving wife, Rachel; three daughters, Monica Anne (Jeremy) Bennet of Corbin, Kentucky, Joanne Louise (Timothy) Bailey of Vancouver, Washington and Rachel Pearl (Fred) Alvarado of Phoenix, Arizona; his mother, Joan; two brothers and three sisters.

Friends can visit with family 12-2 pm on Saturday, January 8, 2021, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street Mishawaka, IN 46544. A Funeral Service to be held at 2 pm.
