Donna Stoll Obituary

Vandalia, MI-Donna Marvene Stoll, 73, passed away peacefully at home in Vandalia, Michigan due to complications from an extended chronic illness.

Donna was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, graduating from Washington High School in 1965. She married her husband, R. William (Bill) Stoll, shortly after graduation on June 19, 1965, celebrating 55 years of marriage this past summer. Raising 4 children in Mishawaka, Indiana, as a stay at home mother, Donna later worked in accounts payable and receivable until her retirement in 2005. Following their dream of living on a lake, they purchased a vacation home in Vandalia, Michigan in 1991, becoming their primary home in 2005 where they enjoyed many years of beautiful sunrises, sunsets, pontoon boat rides and entertaining family and friends.

Along with her husband, Donna is survived by her daughter Cindy (Darren) Stutesman, their children Keely (Matt) Maurer, Dan (Kate) Stoll & Bryson Stutesman; deceased son Robert’s children, Robert Stoll IV, Nathan Stoll & Charlie Stoll; son Michael Stoll; son Jason (Wendy) Stoll, his son Blane Stoll and Wendy’s children Cameron, Kaitlyn, Alexis & Emma; along with 10 great-grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as Grama.

Also surviving are stepfather Joseph Romano, siblings Charles (Rebecca) Cox, Christine (John) Michael, Tracy Anderson, Karen Cox Grove, Bobby Cox, Cheri Bradford, Robert (Pam) Moore, Susan (Scott) Johnson, in-laws Beverly Ness, Jim Stoll, Nancy Stoll and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Cox and Dorla Dee Romano; Stepmother Louise Cox; sister Diana Shubert; brother Gary Crimaldi; son, Robert (Robby) Stoll III; brother-in-law, Chuck Stoll; father-in-law, Robert W. Stoll II and mother-in-law, Wilma Stoll.

Our family would like to offer sincere thanks for the Hospice home care provided by Caring Circle of Lakeland. The dedicated staff and their team of loving caregivers Anita, Victoria, Sam and Johnathon who provided so much laughter, love, comfort, dignity, and support to us and our loved one as she approached her final days. Each of you is appreciated more than you know!
