Dorthy A. (Harper) Lane

Dorthy A. Lane, 96, of Mishawaka, passed away on November 24, 2021. Dorthy was born to the late Jacob and Mae (Berry) Harper in Knox County, IN, on October 5, 1925. She spent most of her life in Knox County or neighboring Davis County where she met and married George E. Lane. Dorthy and George moved to Mishawaka in 2001. He preceded her in death on December 11, 2013.

Dorthy is survived by her daughter, Anita (Kathy Rosebrook) Nash; stepsons, David (Debbie) Lane and Ronald Lane; her sister, Helen Harper-Hobson of Leo, IN and foster son, Peter (Joyce) Long of New Jersey.

Dorthy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, achieving the office of Worthy Matron in Bicknell, Indiana and a member of the Women’s Church Group in Vincennes, Indiana. She also volunteered as Red Cross member in Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.

Friends may visit with the family from 12-2PM on Thursday, December 2, 2021, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN. A graveside service will immediately follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Mishawaka, where Dorthy will be laid to rest beside George.
