Douglas Leonard Fox, 46, of Mishawaka passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. He was able to give the gift of life through the Indiana Organ Donor Program. Doug was born in South Bend, Indiana on November 19, 1976, to Dennis Fox and Sandra (Kleinfeldt) Westphal. He is survived by his wife, the love of his life and soulmate, Carrie (Fisher) Fox; children, Vicky Fox, Austin Fox, Taleah Fox, Evan Fox, Kayla Stambaugh, Haley Stambaugh, Sierra Stambaugh, and Justin Stambaugh; mother, Sandra (Wayne) Westphal; sisters, Annette (Chad) Sigman and Diane (Jim) Weedling; brothers, Kevin (Kaelyn) Fox and Brian Westphal; aunt, Janice Styles; uncle, Donald Fox; and many beloved cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Fox; paternal grandparents, Guy and Helen Fox; and maternal grandparents, Leonard and Harriet Kleinfeldt.
Doug is a 1995 graduate of Penn High School. He was a 20 plus year loyal employee of Brandeis Machinery and Supply Company as a top producer in machine sales, product support sales, and rental sales. Doug started flagging at the age of 14 at Angola Motor Speedway. He was a staple in the racing circuit in the Michiana area, but especially at South Bend Motor Speedway. He was a proud race official at many racetracks including South Bend, Angola Motor Speedway, Plymouth Speedway, SouthWest Michigan (Mottville) Speedway, New Paris Speedway, M-40 Speedway, and Kalamazoo Speedway.
Friends may visit the family from 4pm - 8pm on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN. The funeral service will be at 12pm on Saturday, December 3, 2022, with visitation beginning at 10am. Doug will be laid to rest at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend.
