Obituary

Edward M. Ryan, 78, of Mishawaka passed away in his home on Thursday, May 12, 2022.  Edward was born in South Bend, IN, on March 14, 1944, to the late Charles A. and Lucile M. (Marshall) Ryan.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Eugene (Nora) Ryan.  He is survived by his wife, Kandie (Emerson) Ryan; a brother, Gilbert (Beverly) Ryan; sons, Wayne (Mickie) Ryan, Tim (Mary) Ryan and Todd Ryan; grandchildren, Daniel, Skyler, Ashley, Kyle and Heather; great-grandchildren, Robbie, Cooper, Collin, Christian, Josiah, Naomi, Asher, Lucas, Elijah and Abbey; and nieces Laura and Pam; and a nephew, Steve.

Ed was a fireman with the Mishawaka Fire Department for 24 years and retired as the Assistant Chief.  He worked for Dungarvin for 20 years and worked alongside his son, Wayne at Riverpointe Auctions until time of death.  He was also an avid antique collector.  Ed’s favorite activity was to travel with loved ones and family, his favorite vacation spot was Hawaii.

Visitation will be 3-8 pm on Thursday, May 19, 2022, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN.  A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Friday, May 20th with visitation 2-hour prior in the funeral home.
