Elizabeth "Betsy" A. Renaldi

Elizabeth “Betsy” A. Renaldi, 79, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Sanctuary at Holy Cross, South Bend. Betsy was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on April 2, 1944, to Raymond Jarvis and Viola Elizabeth (Schwallie) Jarvis.  

Betsy graduated from St. Joseph High School in South Bend and from Saint Mary’s College. On August 19, 1967, Betsy married Thomas Renaldi, who preceded her in death on January 30, 2022.  Surviving is her daughter, Beth Renaldi. Betsy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Linda Jarvis. 

Betsy was a longtime parishioner at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. She worked in the Office of College Relations at Saint Mary’s College for more than 20 years. She was also a member of the South Bend Art League and enjoyed volunteering at the annual garden walk. She was a wonderful wife and mother and will be missed greatly by her family and friends.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 4th, from 9:30-10:30am in St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Parish, 2310 E Jefferson Blvd, South Bend, IN 46615. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 10:30am in the church. Elizabeth will be laid to rest in St. Vincent Cemetery, Elkhart where a private graveside service will be held.

In remembrance of Betsy’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to Saint Mary’s College.
