Frank D. Bonk Jr, 65, of South Bend, IN passed away at home on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Frank was born in California on October 9th, 1958, to the late Frank D Bonk Sr and Joyce (Richmond) Johnson.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Morgan Bonk. He is survived by a son, Jeremy (Danielle) Bonk; grandchildren, Jordan and Jackson Bonk, and Devon and Brianne Farmer; a great grandchild, Asher Bonk; sisters Debra Braun, Rebecca Bennington, Barbie Griffith, and Michelle Reynolds, and his step father Gary Johnson.

Frank served in the U.S. Army. He worked for AM General and was a member of the UAW and was a Union Stewart. He was a great athlete growing up and an avid sports fan for life. He was a diehard Chicago and Norte Dame sports fan who loved taking his son Jeremy to games as much as possible. He was a loving brother who looked out for and cared for his sisters.

No services will he held at this time. A celebration of life will be planned in the near future. Hahn Funeral Home will be handling the final arrangements.
