Frank was preceded in death by his caring parents, Fred DeSmith and JoAnn (Marino) DeSmith. A cherished father, he is survived by his sons, Frank DeSmith Jr. and his wife Jenni-Lee, Daniel DeSmith and his wife Deborah, and James DeSmith and his wife Mable. His legacy of wisdom and laughter lives on through them and his Grandchildren; Jordan Youngman, Nathan Desmith, Tobias DeSmith, Skyler DeSmith, and London DeSmith.

He was a man of many passions; Frank delighted in working on anything with a motor, with a particular fondness for trains. His free time was often spent with a game controller in hand, enjoying his Xbox, or lost in the Western worlds of John Wayne. Frank’s love for music was expressed through the sounds of old records, and his heart was most content by the water, fishing rod in hand.
