Germaine Dawson

     Germaine L. Dawson passed away on December 29th at home in Granger, IN. She was born on July 25, 1921 to Samuel D. Beavo and Catherine Hall Beavo. She married Wilson M. Rodgers Sr. on March 31, 1939 with whom she had 4 children and Paul R. Dawson Sr. in October 29th 1996. She is survived by her daughter, Georganne (Geoffrey) Vervaet of Granger, IN and a step-son, Timothy R (Julie) Dawson Jr. of Elkhart, IN, grandchildren Jon Daggy, David Daggy, Mark Daggy, Diana Betzer, Brian Rodgers, Kim McGillicuddy, Jason Heyse, Jacob Asper, Melanie Hernandez, Ryan Asper, Margaret Vervaet, Elizabeth Bennett ,Douglas Vervaet, her special nephew Craig Whetstone, 34 great children and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Dawson Sr., daughters Priscilla Krege and Rebecca Heyse, son, Wilson Rodgers Jr. and stepson Paul R. Dawson Jr., and grandsons, L. Scot Daggy and Timothy Dawson Jr, and her brothers Samuel Beavo, and George A. Clark

     Germaine retired from AM General in 1986. She was a wonderful mom and a truly awesome loved grandmother. She loved going to the casino, watching her favorite soap opera and spending time with her family. She never missed saying “I love you” to everyone in the family and close friends and she meant it. She made many friends over the years and will be truly missed by all who shared her life.

     The Family will receive friends on Thursday January 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral Services will begin at Noon in the Funeral Home, with Reverend Bob Vale Officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery next to Paul.
