Obituary

Gregory Lee Egendoerfer, 64 years old, passed away the afternoon of Friday, July 28, 2023 in South Bend, Indiana. Greg was born on September 19, 1958 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Eugene Egendoerfer of Easley, South Carolina, and the late Winona Rich. He was also preceded by his brothers Andrew Egendoerfer and Mark Egendoerfer. On July 28, 1979 he was united in marriage to Diane Poikus. He is survived by Diane as well as 3 children, Gregory L. II (Shannon) Egendoerfer of Portage, Indiana, Edward Eugene Egendoerfer of South Bend, and Sara (Paul) Reed of Portage, Indiana; 4 grandchildren, Hailee Reed, Logan Egendoerfer, Brooklyn Reed, and Braelyn Reed; and siblings Jeannie (Steve) Calbetzor of Easley, South Carolina, Robert (Sandy) Egendoerfer of Mishawaka, and Kim E. (Becky) Egendoerfer of Edwardsburg, Michigan.

Greg was a Navy veteran and worked as a mechanic engineer for Alpha Baking Co. He will be deeply missed by friends and family.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Hahn Funeral Home is assisting the family with cremation.
