Ila M. (Book) Fadden

Ila M. Fadden, 88, of Granger passed away at home on Monday, June 6, 2022.  Ila was born to the late Clarence G. and Virgil M. (Durigg) Book.  She graduated from Beallsville High School and The Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, OH.  Ila married Edward J. Fadden on July 2, 1955.  They were happily married for 57 ½ years.  Ila is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Edward Jeffrey Fadden III; and her husband, Edward J. Fadden.  She is survived by her children, Valli R. (Steven/deceased) Carpenter and Steven K. (Paula) Fadden; grandchildren, Jared (Amanda) Fadden, Jacob Fadden, Kaitlyn Fadden, Kayla Carpenter and Ila (Adam) Beckett; 3 great grandchildren, Emery Jane, Wilder Eli and Ruby Sage Fadden.  
Ila enjoyed her nursing career of 35 years at Memorial Hospital and the many activities her children were involved in.  She also loved cooking, camping, boating, and sports, especially rooting for Notre Dame (Go Irish!).
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, June 13th from 3 pm-5 pm at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
