James F. Barnhart

James F. Barnhart, 69 years old, of Mishawaka passed away suddenly the afternoon of Thursday, August 24, 2023. James was born in Mishawaka, IN on August 18, 1954, to the late Harvey and Gladys (Varda) Barnhart. On February 25, 1990, he was united in marriage to his loving wife, Donita (Catanzarite) Barnhart.

James is survived by his wife and three children, Adam (Emily) Barnhart, Catherine Barnhart, and Joseph Barnhart; two sisters, Mara and Patricia Barnhart; and many nieces and nephews.

James is well-known in the Mishawaka community, especially for his time spent as a High School Teacher, Coach, and Announcer for Mishawaka Schools. He was a loving husband, father, and friend, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

A public visitation will be held on Monday, August 28, 2023. from 5pm to 7pm at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th St, Mishawaka, IN 46544. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at 11am at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka.
