Janet E Fye

           Janet E. Fye, of Mishawaka, Indiana, departed this life on June 30, 2024, in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren at the age of 67. Born on May 11, 1957, in LaGrange, Indiana, to Ora Birk and Mildred Ness. Janet was enveloped in love and care by her grandparents, Geneva (Mom) and Theodore (Dad) Ness, who were instrumental in her upbringing, and were parents to her.

            Janet was married on July 6th, 1974, to Bernard (Buddy) C. Fye and would remain devoted to him after his passing in 2004. Together Janet and Buddy would have three children Patricia L. (proceeded in death) Jeffery C. and Deana M. Fye.

            Janet's life was marked by the joy and devotion she had for her family. Her children, Deana, and Jeffrey Fye were the center of her universe, and she embraced every moment of motherhood with enthusiasm and grace. The title of Nana was one she bore with immense pride, and the bond she shared with her grandson, Manuel Navarro, was a source of great happiness in her life.

            Though Janet was preceded in death by her birth parents and adoptive parents Geneva and Theordore, beloved sisters, Rose Penn, Evelyn Warner, and Naomi Clemons, she is survived by her brother, Matthew Thompson.

            Janet poured her heart into nurturing her children and grandchildren, ensuring that they always felt supported and valued. Her unwavering presence at family gatherings, school events, and milestones became the foundation upon which lasting memories were built.

            Those who knew Janet will remember her for her can do no non-sense attitude, her strength, her generous spirit, and the genuine care she extended to all. She leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but also a wealth of memories that will continue to inspire and comfort her family and friends.

            A visitation will be held on July 8, 2024, form 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka, with funeral services to immediately follow at 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
