Janice Evans

 Janice Evans, age 81, departed here and arrived in Heaven, on September 14, 2025. She was born on July 17, 1944, in Niles, Michigan, to the late Myrtle Barnett and Wilma (Bodin) Barnett.

     On August 13, 1976, she married the love of her life, David Evans, in South Bend, Indiana. Together, they built a loving family that was always at the center of Janice’s world.

     She is survived by her husband, David Evans; her son, Nathan Evans and his wife, Katie; her stepson, Darin Evans and his wife Fenni Jin.  She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Anita Evans. Janice was a loving grandmother to Brynn, Carys, Rhys, Atticus and Lola Rose, who brought immense joy to her life.

     She is also survived by her brothers, Royce Barnett, Norton Barnett, and Bradley Barnett. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Sherry and Judith.

     Janice dedicated much of her professional life as an administrative assistant for Creative Word Ministries, where she and her husband David served for 50 years, touching many lives in the Michiana area.

     A celebration of a life well lived, will be held at a later date.
