Jeannene Stevens Obituary

Jeannene Sue Stevens, 71, of South Bend passed away peacefully at her home on February 16, 2024. Jeannene was born to Lavern Allred and Helen King on June 15, 1952, in Indianapolis, IN. She spent her childhood in both Indiana and Michigan, she later became a quality control inspector prior to retiring. Jeannene married Richard Stevens on February 15, 2013.

            Jeannene is survived by her husband of 11 years, Richard Stevens; children, Kenneth (Amy) Mears, Kevin Mears and Theresa Henzel; stepchildren, Brittany (Andy) Robledo and Hailey (Blake) Allen; grandchildren, Tristan, Mia, Emma, Kelsey, Lacey, and Kevin Jr.; step grandchildren, Mila, Evalyn and Elora; great grandchildren, Addison, Aubree and Noah; step greatgrandchild, Olivia; sisters, Nadine Davis, Clara Allred and Lucy Schoen as well as nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.

            Jeannene was a wordsmith and enjoyed playing different word games on her phone. She enjoyed being a homemaker in recent years after retiring. Jeannene’s greatest love was her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

            There will be no formal services per Jeannene’s wishes. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Donations in honor of Jeannene may be made to the Center for Hospice, 501 Comfort Pl, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
