Jeffery Butler

   Jeffery "Jeff" Butler, 82, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Jeff was born February 28, 1942, in Mishawaka, Indiana, as the son of Collins Butler and Beatrice (Emerick) Butler.

   On September 28, 1963, Jeff married the love of his life, Andrea (Van Poppel) Butler, in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church. They would go on to enjoy an amazing 60 years together, filled with laughter and love. 

   He is survived by his devoted wife, Andrea (Van Poppel) Butler; his daughters, Rebecca Stone and Patricia (Curtis) Brown; his nine cherished grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Bryn Bonnie Butler; his brother-in-law, Jeffery (Deborah) Van Poppel; and sister-in-law, MaryAnn Gast.

   Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Collins and Beatrice, his grandchild Delisa Brown.

   Jeff was employed at Countrywide Mortgage as a Chief Operation Officer before retirement. After he retired, he became the owner and operator of World Gym in Mishawaka in 1993.

   Jeff will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

   Visitation will be held on Sunday September 15, 2024, from 3:00 – 6:00 PM, at Hahn Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on, Monday September 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM, in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church, 511 W 7th St, Mishawaka. A private burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.
