Jimmy Musick

Jimmy Carl Musick, 53 years old, entered into perfect peace at 5:10pm the evening of Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Elkhart General Hospital surrounded by his family. Jimmy was born on July 4, 1970, in Grundy, Virginia to the late Jimmy Musick and Carol Skeens. On June 25, 1994, Jimmy married Roberta Dotson in Koontz Lake, Indiana.

Jimmy is survived by his wife as well as his daughter, Danielle Musick; grandchildren Natalie and Jackson Musick; sisters Dana Dotson, Sandra (Ernie) Fuller, and Dedra (Tommy) Phillips; several nieces, including Brittney Belcher; uncles Lonnie (Donna) Skeens, and James Grose; father-in-law Dan Dotson; special friends including David (Georgia) Beam, and many kind neighbors.
  Jimmy worked as a sheet metal fabricator at Trinity Sheet Metal for over 25 years. Neighbors and family would often find him outside tending to his yard and garden which was a source of great pride. He loved to fish, ride bicycles with his grandbabies, and play poker with his granddaughter Natalie.  Above all, he loved his daughter and grandchildren. He was a wonderful spouse, an amazing father, grandfather, friend, and neighbor; he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

  A celebration of life will be held on Thursday May 30th at Calvary Baptist Church 3001 Cleveland Rd, South Bend, IN 46628 family will receive visitors beginning at 3pm; service will be held from 4-5 pm. A dinner will be held after the service for family and close friends. If Jimmy ever touched your heart, please come share your story with the family to help honor him.
