Joanne Kucela

     Joanne “Joni” Kucela, 80, passed away at home on Monday, September 22, 2025.

     Joni was born on December 23, 1944, in South Bend, Indiana, to Frank and Mary (Nate) Mazzone, they both preceded her in death.

     On May 20, 2006, in South Bend Joni married Richard “Dick” Kucela, he preceded her in death on June 8, 2011.

     Joni is survived by a son, Brian (Kerry)Mazzone; daughters, Carrie (Ron) Martin and Nicole “Nikki” (Jeff) Persyn; grandchildren ,Macie (Steven) Leathers, Mitchell (Kasey) Martin, Morgan Martin, Isabella Persyn, and 2 great grandchildren, Blair and Beau Leathers and a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Welch.

     A visitation will be held on, Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM, In Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th St. Mishawaka. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM, in the funeral home. A private burial will take place.
