Kathleen Jeanette Felabom

     Kathleen “Jeanette” Felabom was ushered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 23, 2025. She was born to Herbert and Bertha Anderson, December 9,1932 in Mishawaka, Indiana., graduated from Mishawka High School, and completed one year at Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She worked various administrative assistant positions in education, her favorite being in health care.

     She accepted the Lord as her Savior when she was 8 years old and was baptized at the age of 10. She was married to her high school sweetheart for 57 years, Loren W. Felabom. Together they made their home in South Bend, IN for 20 years before moving to Florida, Michigan, Maryland, and Arizona. She returned to Indiana 3.5 years ago after being gone for 48 years!

     Jeanette was a dedicated, loving and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an avid reader, loved serving at church in the nursery, children’s youth groups, Awana, Vacation Bible School, and singing in the choir. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. In her final year, she suffered from vascular dementia but never forgot her Savior and purpose in life – sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and praying with the aides and residents in the Memory Care unit at Harmony Senior Living at Elkhart.

     Though we will miss her dearly, she has been reunited in Heaven with her husband Loren, son Loren Jr, daughter in-law Janine, parents Herbert and Bertha, brother, Herbert Anderson Jr., sister Marilyn Campbell.  She is survived by her daughters Kathleen (Tom) Richardson Nashville, TN; Pamela (Bob) Primrose Mishawaka, IN; and Julie Packer Glen Carbon, IL.;11 grandchildren – Ambrelie (Tony) McGillem of Osceola, IN; Brianna (Richie) Primrose Wiley of Shelton, WA; Timothy (Nicole) Primrose of South Bend IN; Jonathan Primrose of Mishawaka, IN; Ryan (Christie) Felabom of Long Grove, IL; Adam (Stevie) Felabom of Las Vegas, NV; Andrew (Destiny) Packer of Edwardsville, IL; Jason (Lana) Packer of Ft Wayne, IN;  Erin (Michael) Babb of Nashville TN; Rodney Robertson (Emily) of Woodbridge, CT; Kelly (Wes) Elrod of Bristow, VA; and 34 great-grandchildren: Riley, Cody, Brady McGillem; Ryzen, Braiya Martin, Axl Wiley; Braden, Lucas, Addeline, Amelia Primrose;  Gideon, Dominic, Andrew, Hannah Felabom; Asher, Jonah Babb; Isabel, Owen, Reve Robertson; Wade and Derek Elrod; Ethan, Abigail, Alison, Olivia, Lucia, Micah, Magdalena, Elijah, Savannah, Maddison, Mackenzie, Elizabeth, and Eve Packer.

      Many thanks to those who cared for Jeanette in the Memory Care unit at Harmony of Elkhart and the Heartland Hospice care team. You were amazing!

     A Celebration of Jeanette’s Life will be held at 12 Noon on June 10, 2025, at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka, IN 46544. A private burial will take place later. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service from 11-12 noon.
