Kathleen J. (Klopfenstein) Skeeters

Kathleen J. Skeeters, 95, of Mishawaka passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023.  Kathleen was born in Mishawaka on January 29, 1928, to the late Gary and Clara (Laidig) Klopfenstein.  She is also preceded in death by her baby son, Phillip Skeeters; siblings, Elouise Flagle, Gary Klopfenstein, Joann Conrad, Helen Gudeman; Robert Klopfenstein, Eugene Klopfenstein and Richard Klopfenstein; and sisters-in-law, Marie Klopfenstein, and Alice Klopfenstein.

On March 27, 1948, in Mishawaka she married Jack B. Skeeters who preceded her in death on August 28, 2009.  Together they had 3 children, Jeffrey (Vickey) Skeeters, Jill (Jerry) Fulbright and Sally (Bill) Koch.  She was also the proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren, Nicholas Fulbright, John (Danielle) Fulbright, Jay (Rose) Skeeters, Phillip Skeeters, Sarah Skeeters, Jackson (Alex) Miller and Melissa (Matt) Lesyk; 10 great grandchildren; and sisters, Judy Klopfenstein and Mary Schlatter.

Kathleen was laid to rest next to Jack in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 am, Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN 46544.
