Kenny A Johnson

            Kenny Johnson, 71, passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, Indiana, with his wife by his side on July 18, 2024.

            Kenny was born to James and Virginia Johnson on September 27, 1952, in South Bend, Indiana. He married Wendy Welch on September 22, 1973.

            Kenny leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Wendy Johnson, daughter Dawn (Jeff) Johnson- Pennington, daughter-in-law Michele Riordan Johnson, grandchildren, Taylor Johnson and Chris Pieper, his mother Virginia Reed, sister Peggy Terry, Gail Johnson Marshall, sisters-in-law Wanda Leyes, Marcia Kay Stewart, and Julie Welch, brother-in-law Gary Welch, and many nieces and nephews.

            Kenny was preceded in death by his father James Johnson, stepfather Albert Reed, son Christopher Johnson, mother-in-law Edwina Welch, sister Janet Daniel, and brother Terry Johnson.

            Kenny was a veteran of the Marine Corp. and was a dedicated factory worker until his retirement. He loved spending time with family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

            Hahn Funeral Home is entrusted with his cremation. There will be no Visitation or viewing by Kenny’s request.
