Kevin Lee Papa

Kevin Lee Papa, 61, of Elkhart, IN passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023.  Kevin was born on December 21, 1961, in Goshen, IN to the late Danny Lee and Barbara (Pietro) Papa.  He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Ronda Nagel; children, MaDonna Papa, Holly (Matthew) Sharp, Kyle Papa and Dillon (Courtney) Papa; grandchildren, Joshua McIntire Jr., Gavin Papa, Jerzey May, Matthew Jr., Preston Sharp, Gracie Woodard, Noah Papa and Harper Papa; brothers, Mike “Moose”, Denise Miller and Vernon Miller; sister, Danielle (Papa) Dalton; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Beginning in the late 70’s Kevin was an avid racecar driver on the local tracks and beyond.  That was his passion for many years until he retired from racing in 2019.  His idol was Dale Earnhardt.  Anytime Earnhardt was racing Kevin would be tuned in and there were to be no distractions.  He loved to roller skate in his younger years at USA and Holiday rinks.  He enjoyed fishing, karaoke and recently got into I-Racing.  He also enjoyed spending time with Ronda at their lake house in Michigan and going to garage sales in his free time.

The family will receive friends from 4 pm-7:30 pm on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka.
