Kevin Schultz Obituary

“It’s Been a Good Ride”

Kevin A. Schultz, a cherished husband, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 69 on May 27, 2025, in his hometown of Mishawaka, Indiana. Kevin was born to Carl W. Schultz and Patricia (Beamer) Schultz, on September 18, 1955.

Kevin leaves behind his loving wife, Wanda (Webb) Schultz, and his brother, Kerry (Janeen) Schultz. Kevin now joins his parents, Carl and Patricia, as well as his brothers, Kurt and Kent Schultz, in eternal rest.

Kevin started out in Mishawaka, but then lived in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, where he graduated from high school and started his career as a computer operator at Electronic Data Processing. He then moved back to Indiana to manage his parents’ bar, The Friendly Corner in Mishawaka.

After that, as a communications technician at ERS Wireless, Kevin was not only a highly skilled and dedicated professional but an integral part of the team. He installed and maintained many of the 911 and radio systems for public safety that are still currently in use in the area. Over the years, Kevin trained many coworkers earning the respect of all who had the pleasure of working alongside him.

Outside of work, Kevin's interests were as dynamic and distinctive as he was. What may surprise many was his deep appreciation of rock and roll, country, and bluegrass—three genres worlds apart in style and sound. It spoke to his uniquely tuned ear and open-minded spirit. As a guitar and banjo player, Kevin found joy in playing music ranging in everything from hard rock to Flatt and Scruggs.

His passion didn’t stop at music; Kevin was also a regular showing “Zoomie” at local car shows, where he Built Friendships and loved the camaraderie of his fellow enthusiasts.

He met the love of his life Wanda in 1981, and married her in 1988. Throughout the years they have lived a great life, whether it was playing music together, attending various music festivals, the Bean Blossom Boogie, or just enjoying taking care of their dogs.

As per Kevin’s wishes there will be no formal services held at this time. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted to handle the final arrangements.
