Laura Jo Shoemaker

     Laura Jo Shoemaker, aged 68, passed away on October 4, 2024, in Bremen, Indiana. Born on March 27, 1956, in South Bend, Indiana, she was the cherished daughter of Joseph F. Catanzarite and the late Elsie Catanzarite of Granger.  On December 1, 1979, she married Michael D. Shoemaker who died in 1996.  On October 20, 2007, she married Larry Howell, which ended in divorce.

     She loved spending time with her cherished cat, Tommy.  Laura enjoyed visiting St. Joseph, Michigan, going to the beach there and the town itself, it was her Happy Place.  She also was an avid concert goer.  She never met a gnome that she didn’t like.

     Laura is survived by her father, Joseph F. Catanzarite of Granger, Indiana, her brother, Joseph R. Catanzarite (Sylvia) of Jupiter, Florida, and her niece, Jessica Catanzarite of Jupiter, Florida.

   A private Internment will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Food Pantry of Bremen, 1237 W. Plymouth Street, Bremen, Indiana 46506.
